Measuring Systems for the Marine Industry
FOCUS-1
FOCUS-1 is the first smart meter valve specifically developed for the process industry 4.0. This multifunctional smart flow control instrument – developed by FOCUS-ON, a SAMSON and KROHNE company – combines sensors, actuator and control functionality in one device. By measuring flow, pressure and temperature simultaneously and regulating its valve function independently, all specified set points for control tasks such as pressure, flow or even external control variables can be accurately and reliably achieved. This makes FOCUS-1 the ideal smart control unit for processes that need to be controlled autonomously. It is equally suitable for greenfield projects as well as a drop-in replacement of conventional valves in existing brownfield applications.
OPTIFLUX 5300
The OPTIFLUX 5300 is an electromagnetic flowmeter (EMF) with a high-tech ceramic measuring tube for very aggressive and abrasive fluids, even with high solid content (up to 70%). The high-end EMF is particularly suited for process applications in the chemical processing industry and the minerals and mining sector. Due to its FDA and EC1935/2004 compliant sensor material, the OPTIFLUX 5300 can also be used for hygienic applications. With a measuring uncertainty of just ±0.15% of measured value (±1 mm/s) it is one of the most accurate electromagnetic flowmeters available in the market. That is why leading metrological institutes use the OPTIFLUX 5300 as their master meter.
OPTIWAVE 6500
The OPTIWAVE 6500 is a 2-wire 80 GHz radar (FMCW) level transmitter for demanding applications with powders in very dusty atmospheres. With its small beam angle, this radar is particularly suited for continuous, non-contact level measurement in high and narrow silos, hoppers or buffer storage containers up to 100 m / 328 ft. Due to specific algorithms and the high signal dynamics of the FMCW radar, the level transmitter is ideal for low-reflective media, dust, uneven surfaces or silos with internal obstructions. As it features flush-mounted PEEK and PTFE Lens antennas, there is no intrusion into the tank.
TIDALFLUX 2300
The TIDALFLUX 2300 is an electromagnetic flowmeter (EMF) with a patented, capacitive level measurement for use in partially filled pipes (up to DN1600 / 64”). The meter is the ideal solution for flow measurement of municipal or industrial wastewater in pressureless transport lines. However, the EMF is also suitable for measurement of effluent brine from dredging, mining or sea/well water injection applications. Unlike open channel systems (Venturi, V-notches etc.) the inline flowmeter is a closed measuring solution without obstructions and with a much better accuracy at lower total costs of ownership.
OPTIBAR DP 7060
The OPTIBAR DP 7060 is a differential pressure transmitter with integrated absolute pressure measurement. It offers a high degree of modularity for various flow, hydrostatic level or process pressure applications. For DP flow measurements it can be perfectly combined with the KROHNE primary elements (e.g. orifice plates or pitot tubes). Equipped with diaphragm seals, it is the right choice for hydrostatic level, interface, density or demanding DP process applications. Featuring a quick response time of just 125 ms, the DP transmitter offers high accuracy and measurement stability under all process conditions.
